One of the most important ways to stay healthy is to drink more water. The doctors say that adults must drink 10 to 12 glasses of water every day to remain healthy. Unfortunately, many of us don’t do that. This leads to various health issues including dehydration, urine infection, and more. Here are some reasons to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

Better recovery time
After you exercise you need to let your body recover from the stress as the electrolyte balance of the body can shift. Electrolytes are important for physical activities. During exercise, our body loses electrolytes as we sweat. So, we often experience fatigue, muscle cramps, or even mental confusion. If the supply of electrolytes continues to stay low for a longer period, then you will continue to feel weak. To restore the power of your body and prepare the body for the next day you need to drink lots of water after exercising. If you want you can add some salt to it to increase the number of electrolytes in the body.

Prevents dehydration
We need to ensure that our body has a constant supply of water. When we exercise, our bodies can lose a lot of water. So, if the body doesn’t restore its water level it can get into a dehydration state. Many diseases occur due to dehydration which includes muscle fatigue, stroke, and others. 

More energy
Most of us take energy drinks or coffee when we are tired and need that energy back. But did you know that taking a few glasses of water can give you back that energy? Our brain floats on water and if your water intake increases then the brain will stay hydrated helping you to stay more energized. 

Weight loss
Not many people know that drinking more water is linked to weight loss. Water cleans your body’s unhealthy fats. It also encourages us that we eat less. Sometimes we eat food when we don’t need to. When you drink more water and stay hydrated you won’t have that extra craving for food. So, eventually, you will lose weight. 

Improves skin
Toxins in the body can cause acne and other skin problems. When you drink more water it flushes out the toxins in the body. This can reduce the chance of pimples and other skin issues. So, you will have better skin if you drink more water. 

Drinking more water is good for your health. You will feel fresh, energized and remain healthy. You can prevent a lot of serious diseases by drinking more water.
